Our therapists treat a vast array of issues, including addiction, grief, trauma, adjustment issues, marriage and family issues, and disorders of mood, anxiety, and impulse control. Children, families and adults are very special to me. Children ages 0-10, pre-teens, teens, college students and adults of all ages. Parent/Giuardian involvement, both father and mother, is mandatory when working with children. I have extensive training and experience in trauma treatment, family therapy, ADHD assessment and treatment and anxiety. My areas of specialization include depression; anxiety; trauma issues including rape, incest and childhood/adult emotional, physical and sexual abuse, neglect and poverty; grief and loss; and life adjustment.

I specialize in working with children and parents to help the child to function at their absolute best and help parents know how to effectively guide and encourage them. Children can present with many issues such as anxiety, defiance, poor self-esteem, lack of impulse control, and poor decision-making skills. These and other problems can lead to various difficult issues such as poor problem solving, poor sleep habits, school issues, and sadness. I work with children using Cognitive Behavior Therapy to give children positive thinking and feeling skills. I also provide successful problem solving and coping tools.

Hello! I am Dr. Emily Deming. I am a queer psychologist who is passionate about making therapy a space to not only reflect but also to learn. I have first hand experience with supporting a neurodivergent partner and integrating into a multiracial family. I believe that therapy is a learning process and I strive to make sure that my clients leave our sessions with a toolkit they can handle life’s ups and downs with. I have more than 20 years experience in relationship counseling, men's issues and family counseling. Electronic media and video game abuse have become important counseling topics that I treat. I help men with life transitions and work issues, partners navigate relationship issues and families resolve conflict. I help with difficult children & adolescents and wrote "How to Change Your Child's Behavior". It highlights principles of good parenting, why children get out of control, and how to establish rules. My protocol is used by schools, child welfare agencies, and juvenile justice systems. I also specialize in treating ADHD.
