As a play therapist and counselor, I reach children and adults using a variety of techniques including the natural language of play. I am amazed to see the transformation people can make through the power of play, sandtray and expressive therapies. I am a Registered Play Therapist by the Association for Play Therapy and a certified Autplay Provider (Autism Play Therapy). I am currently the owner and founder of Mending Hearts Counseling Center. I provide mental health counseling and play therapy services to children, adolescents and adults. In my free time I enjoy camping, traveling, and spending time with my family.

Children face their own dilemmas. Which can make them feel overwhelmed, frustrated, impulsive, or anxious and act out. I use a child's natural language of play to explore these feelings with them and their families. I believe that the best therapy and care comes from a safe, trusting and nurturing environment and relationship. I am here to help your child and family learn to heal from traumatic events and everyday stressors. I have completed education and training to be a credentialed Registered Play Therapist. I received my MA in Community Counseling from Siena Heights, in 2010.

Rachel has worked with clients of all ages, specializing in working with children aged 5-18 in clinical, school and youth camp settings as well as experience in hospital, and community mental health environments. She works with helping clients with issues related to anxiety, trauma, depression, suicidality, LGBTQ+, grief, ADHD, and ODD. Having been a client, she has a strong understanding of how difficult the healing process can be, and the importance of incorporating playfulness and joviality to therapy sessions.

I specialize in helping children/adolescents identify and express their needs in healthy and manageable ways. When school, peer, or home interactions become challenging, it's sometimes hard for children/adolescents to feel seen and heard. I am here to help your child identify their strengths, create consistent positive coping strategies, and become their own best advocates in every environment. Betrayal, boring sex, lack of communication, constant fighting and lack of intimacy are problems I have the expertise to treat. Clients leave here with an increased understanding of vulnerabilities and tools to repair their problems. I also see people who are experiencing anxiety and depression. These problems are causing clients anger, frustration, worry and a general sense of I am unworthy and no good.

Hello! Owner/Therapist at Core Wellness, Amy Koziarski, LISW-S has been in the mental health field since 2002 and is passionate about healing trauma. She has an open, active, therapeutic approach. In addition to offering 60 minute sessions, Amy also offers EMDR Intensives available in 2, 3 or 4 hour increments. Longer sessions are available with special scheduling. In order to continue her passion as a therapist, mentor/educator and to better meet the needs of the community Amy expanded her practice to Core Wellness in 2022. Core Wellness has several therapists available for you, offering day, evening and weekend availability.

My foundation in therapy has always been working with children, teens, families and women's mental health. Each person is unique, and each situation is different. My purpose is to help you design a plan to address whatever it may be that you are wanting to work on.
