Marissa earned her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s degree in Social Work at Cleveland State University. She is currently licensed as an Independent Social Worker in the State of Ohio and has been practicing for 15 + years working with adolescents, adults and families. Marissa has several years working in the psychiatric hospital setting addressing the needs of adults who are in an immediate crisis, and those who are seeking outpatient services. She has done therapeutic programming in high schools regarding self esteem and depression. Marissa also has experience working with couples to promote healthier relationships.

Dr. Talla Azem is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Ohio with a diverse range of experience and subspecialty training in child psychology. She recognizes that asking for help can be difficult to do. She strives to provide a warm and empathetic approach and believes a collaborative therapeutic relationship is critical for earning each client’s trust. She understands each individual is unique, and does her best to ensure a therapeutic environment that accommodates to the different ways that people view the world and cope with life stressors.

I am currently accepting new clients! I am a licensed independent therapist who specializes in mental health and substance abuse. I have a passion for working with adolescents (ages 13-19), adults (ages 20 and up), and families. I am believe in building on strengths. My approach to therapy is based on the fundamental belief that, even in the most difficult times, there are opportunities for growth. As a humanistic-constructivist therapist, I believe the strength of the therapy relationship is fundamental to the success of therapy.
