I strive to position myself alongside people while they embark on their personal journey of healing, restoration, and growth. Often the barriers to clients' success include issues related to codependency, self-image, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, poor communication and conflict resolution skills, and ineffective coping strategies. The work that I do with individuals, couples, and families is designed to partner with clients as we identify and develop their resources. Clients are then empowered to interact with people and situations in a way that fosters continued healing and growth

I subscribe to a client-centered approach to work with a population struggling with cooccurring needs. Those clients that would benefit from our work, struggle with addiction and the recovery process, in tandem with mental health needs. With this notion, the population to whom I am primarily acquainted are those who are often initiating in their first steps of the treatment and recovery journey, those clients who have just recently made the decision, or are conflicted by the decision, to become sober needing a high level of care and clinical helping hand. Their goals are to achieve sustained recovery with an enhancement of wellness.

Since I was first licensed in 1991, I have worked with a wide range of clients, in a variety of setting. My passion is helping people overcome trauma. I specialize in working with children who have experienced sexual abuse. I work with children as young as 3, through adulthood. I believe we all have the capacity to overcome and grow, given the opportunity and resources to do so.

Cathy Dye is a licensed social worker with over 20 years experience in the field of social services. Cathy completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Youngstown State University in 2000. Cathy continued her education in 2016, earning a Master of Social Work Degree from Youngstown State University in 2019. Cathy specializes in trauma, anxiety, depression, relationships, life/career issues, as well as identity and existential concerns.
