I am a couples counselor and have been able to help many relationships that have often been neglected for too long.
The approach that I use does not assign blame to either person. I focus on discovering the awareness of the negative cycle that a couple gets into and help to create a positive and more understanding cycle.
My training was based on a clinically validated program called Emotionally Focused Therapy(EFT). A substantial body of research outlining the effectiveness of EFT now exists. Research studies find that 70-75% of couples move from distress to recovery and approximately 90% show significant improvements. Further information: www.nyceft.org
