I help my clients discover how to become the best versions of themselves through empathic listening, transparency, and acceptance. I value working collaboratively with clients and providing genuine support to achieve goals and self-growth as well as creating a safe space for everyone to feel heard and seen. I incorporate various counseling methods into each session, primarily using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to look at the relationship between our thoughts, behaviors, and emotions, and Existential Theory, to bring focus to our responsibilities for decision making and explore your lived experiences authentically and honestly.
I have experience with the substance-use community having worked in a detox/rehab facility and with mood/anxiety disorders with experience in clinical outpatient settings. I take pride in being culturally-competent and specializing in working with the LGBTQ+ community, those from diverse backgrounds, and at-risk communities. I also have a CCTSI certificate.
I make it a priority to bring my full, authentic self to each session and I am looking forward to you doing the same. When I’m not working, you can find me walking my dog Bruce, whom I have pictures I am happy to share, watching movies, cheering for the Buffalo Bills, or trying the newest local restaurant as a proud foodie.
