I focus on creating a neuroqueer-affirming space where individuals can deconstruct old narratives and rebuild a stronger foundation of self. My clients seek art therapy and neuro-affirming assessments because they've often felt unseen with talk-based therapies rooted in dominant culture ideas of "success" and "normalcy". Ultimately, most folks want to feel more safe in their ability to live authentically, and thus, sustainably.

As a therapist my driving passions are to help people overcome trauma, de-stigmatize mental health, and advocate for counseling, not just as a means of addressing mental illness but as a tool for self-exploration, healing, and growth. I know that therapy, or any commitment to change for that matter, can be scary and uncomfortable at times but I provide a calming space and an empathetic and unconditionally caring partner in your journey of self-discovery, healing, and growth. I truly believe that counseling can be a means to a better, more satisfying and comfortable life for everyone.

Many clients I see are struggling with grief and loss.
As a holistic practitioner I emphasize the importance of understanding the entirety of a person through attention to values and inner parts of self to find an intentional purpose and resiliency. This approach allows all pieces of self to have space to be heard and understood. Overall wellness becomes the focus for healing and therapeutic goals.

Primarily treating individuals for anxiety, depression, trauma/complex trauma, substance addiction/s, stress management, grief, and Bipolar disorder.
My approach is to focus on the client as a whole, not just the issues at hand and where the client can set the pace of their counseling and is treated with respect, acceptance, non-judgement, and empathy. I also take an integrated approach, meaning I will use interventions from other therapeutic theories. One therapeutic approach does not fit all

Whether you’re navigating grief, identity, anxiety, or the weight of expectations, therapy is a place where you can finally exhale.
You may be the one everyone turns to—the helper, the encourager, the one who shows up. Maybe you’re carrying quiet anxiety, emotional burnout, or a loneliness that’s hard to explain. Whether you’re a young adult working through disappointment, relational challenges, or life transitions—or a woman serving in ministry, caregiving, or leadership— you deserve support too. I specialize in working with women and young adults who feel unseen, overwhelmed, or stuck in silent struggles. Many of my clients come from faith backgrounds and have been faithfully pouring into others, without having a space to process their own emotional needs.

How long does therapy take for grief?

There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?

Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?

Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?

Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
