My ideal client is someone who understands the areas of their life that need improvement. They have an idea of potential treatment goals for therapy and is open to the process. Additionally, they believe there are many ways to address previous traumas and can identify preferences for treatment. For example, a client who is open to incorporating journaling, meditation, or other holistic practices in addition to traditional talk therapy. My ideal client intentionally commits to the therapeutic process and is open to collaboration in the therapeutic space.

My ideal client would be someone who shows up to their session eager to work towards a better version of themselves. This person may be dealing with some anxiety, dissociation, and or depression. This person may need social support, encouragement, and new hobbies. This person's goals may include implementing positive self-talk, planning activities for building self-esteem, and incorporating mindfulness practices to assist with their anxiety. This person wants more peace and balance in their life and relationships to help them feel more connected with themselves and others as well as decrease feelings of anxiety and depression.

I have a particular interest in working with veterans, diverse peoples of trauma, geriatrics, and integrated health care. The ideal client is full of surprises and motivated to explore the limits of their potential. S/he will cross-examine, wholeheartedly endorse, and bring into the open what has yet to be uncovered. S/he will personalize what they notice/receive and share candid feedback on how to keep existing or try out new habits. S/he will utilize the available time to make use of what's keeping them stuck.

My ideal client is someone who feels like their life just isn’t working - maybe they’re struggling with unresolved anxiety and depression or leaning on alcohol or marijuana a little too much to cope with everyday stressors. Maybe they’re going through a big life transition or just aren’t satisfied with their relationships. Whatever their current issues are, this person wants to feel better but doesn’t know how to get there. They are open to therapy and ready to see where it could lead them.

I thrive when working with young women. Whether they’re struggling with school-related stress or struggling to process a breakup, I can quickly build rapport with folks in this demographic. My treatment plans include goals dedicated to helping people identify their triggers for emotional dysregulation. I believe in the importance of somatic and cognitive level wellness strategies and work to have my clients learn and implement both sets of skills. I have enjoyed working with a variety of diagnoses, including adjustment disorder, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and PTSD.
