Dr. Burgess is a counseling psychologist and the owner of BB Counseling. Dr. Burgess received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts. Upon graduation, he went on to receive his Master's Degree and Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Seton Hall University. Dr. Burgess treats a variety of disorders including but not limited to anxiety, mood disorders, personality disorders, ocd, oppositional defiant disorder, ADHD, anger, chronic pain, marriage counseling, and parental counseling. Treatment also includes psychological evaluations for bariatric surgery, spinal cord stimulators, and long term pain medication.

I work with clients who are feeling stuck, isolated, and/or experience anxiety, depression, co-occurring diagnoses, and/or trauma. Clients who are looking to improve their relationship with themselves and others. As well as seeking to support to improve their coping skills and self-care, especially while facing significant life changes.

Melissa Albano is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has over 20 years of social work experience. Melissa was employed for 18 years as a case manager for a large health system. Her experience working with clients has been managing cases related to anxiety, panic attacks, depression, crisis intervention, substance abuse, and domestic violence. Melissa also worked with chronically ill clients and their families to better cope with their ongoing needs. She is passionate and experienced with counseling related to the LGBTQ+ community. Melissa completed her Master of Social Work (MSW) at New York University.

I am a licensed psychologist in NJ, NY & PA for over 35 years. I incorporate a holistic approach, emphasizing mind, body, spirit and emotion. I am passionate about our work together & I still approach each person enthusiastically & with great respect. My work increases your ability to feel, to love, to hope, to heal, and to succeed. Clients are helped to problem solve and live in joy and peace rather than in pain and fear. This process involves in depth explorations of understanding purpose in life via prayer, mindfulness meditation, exploring and understanding thoughts, emotions, behaviors & the importance of true spirituality.

Heather McCooey has experience working with adults with a variety of acute and chronic behavioral health issues such as- anxiety, depression and mood disorders as well as drug and alcohol use disorders and the impacts of these illnesses on families and loved ones. Ms. McCooey provides individual, family and group counseling to adults using cognitive behavioral, motivational and person centered therapies. She offers a thoughtful, down to earth and humorous demeanor and perspective in working with her clients and feels grateful to be a part of their journey towards self knowledge, improvement and change.

Life is hard, working as a therapist to help clients overcome obstacles and achieve their optimal potential is the most rewarding part of my practice.
