I have built a rewarding career helping others and dedicating myself to the kids and families I serve. With nearly a decade of experience, I understand the importance of creating a welcoming environment to facilitate meaningful relationships with both my clients and their families. I have practiced in a variety of settings in various states, including Illinois, Ohio, and now Nebraska. As a licensed school counselor in Illinois I worked with students and families in both middle and high school settings before my family and I moved to Ohio, where I focused on providing social emotional learning in before and afterschool settings.

I believe counseling can be used for many things... Addressing a crisis or trauma, identifying a goal & developing a path toward it, resolving current concerns and even sometimes helping to clarify why you feel differently than you used to. You are the expert on your life. My job is to help you fine tune that expertise and develop skills that contribute to you leading the life you want. I am not here to give you advice or tell you what to do, but rather to work with you as you address the challenges, questions or concerns you may be facing.

Navigating life and everything that comes your way can be really hard. I recently heard someone call the last few years a dumpster fire. In some regards, they aren’t wrong. Even when you are trying your best it can feel really tough. That’s when someone listening, validating, or helping support and encourage you can be helpful and powerful. It’s my goal to provide a safe space and vibe for you to share your story, do some unpacking, take what you want, leave the shit behind and hopefully pick up some tools or insights to help you move through “it” and thrive.

Since 2011, I have worked with clients across settings, including children's hospital, behavioral health clinic, state locked unit, community counseling center, and university counseling services (UNL & ISU). Over the last five years, I primarily worked with university students struggling with anxiety, depression, intimate relationship, coping, adjustment, family of origin, substance use, academic performance, and career issues. More recently, I have transitioned to operating from my private practice office located at the Behavioral Wellness Center, where I offer counseling and psychological evaluations with a focus on ADHD and ASD.

Having completed an extensive education and ongoing strategic mentorship, I am honored and grateful to be in the career for which I have a strong passion. Being invited to journey with clients at various stages in their life is a sincere privilege. In a unique wellness space, I work side-by-side with clients to gain their perspective, see the world through their eyes, then work together to elevate their lives to the desired goals and outcomes.
