We all carry wounds which affect our inner well-being, our relationships, and our ability to engage with the world. By facing our pain and suffering with compassion, we have the power to transform it into strength. Often, we cannot do this alone. Therapy is a journeying together to discover your own capacity for resilience and strength and healing into your deeper, truer self. I cultivate therapeutic relationships built on deep trust and incorporate mindfulness, narrative awareness, strengths-based insight building, and cognitive restructuring, focusing from a spiritual perspective on what gives meaning, purpose, and connection.

NOT taking new clients! Do you struggle with feeling happy, communicating clearly, or building fulfilling relationships? Are you aware of how past trauma is still affecting you? Understanding your past can be the key to your future! Together, we will explore issues such as survival of interpersonal violence, an addicted parent, witnessing a violent event, natural disasters and other traumatic events that have contributed to your addictive behaviors, mental illness, or unhealthy relationships. With this knowledge we will discuss healthy coping skills, building a support network, and planning for safety in the face of your triggers.

I love dogs, specifically Boston Terriers. I love music and was a touring musician for a bit. I love sports and am the type to wake up at 4am on a Saturday to watch a soccer match. Humor is so important. Long walks on the beach are cool, too. I say all this because before I am a therapist, I am a person with interests and hobbies. In my opinion, too much of the traditional therapeutic process can feel sterile and impersonal. This approach might not work for all but hey, honesty is important. You may have told social media about your mental health acting up, now tell a licensed professional.

Additionally, I offer couples/parenting coaching (private pay) that is tailored to each family's needs.
It's harder than ever to balance all.the.things, especially if your brain is wired a little bit differently than most folks. Whether you're struggling to keep up at work, having communication issues in your relationship, and/or trying your damnedest to raise good humans- the pressure to be your best self is relentless and it's all too easy to feel like a failure. I specialize in adult ADHD and will meet you wherever you are on your journey, whether you were diagnosed at 5 or 65, or you aren't sure and want to know more about it.
