Our focus tends toward a systems based approach using behavior methods.

Julie Konrath is a pre-licensed professional with a master's degree in Counseling from Northwestern University. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from North Central University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from American InterContinental University. Her background includes work as a Behavioral Tech at a substance abuse treatment center as well as a behavioral health hospital. She has been trained in pre surgical bariatric psychological evaluations, spinal cord stimulator evaluations, and ADHD evaluations.

Maria believes that a journey of self-discovery and personal growth empowers individuals to develop self-love, self-worth, and deeper meaning in their lives. She encourages honesty, acceptance, and forgiveness in order to heal and release inner struggles. She creates a trusting environment integrating a collaborative approach to exploring issues and finding solutions.

We all experience times where we feel overwhelmed, stuck, struggle with a negative mindset, and need guidance to find new ways to cope. I encourage my clients to look at therapy as a consistent “check-up” purposefully focusing on both their mental health and overall well-being. Hi! My name is Marta, Why just survive when we can thrive? This is the question we need to ask ourselves when thinking about starting therapy. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor that has worked extensively with individuals struggling with relationship dissatisfaction and other relational issues, depression, anxiety, anger and emotion management, emotional eating, panic attacks, trauma, struggles with self-esteem, stress-management and burnout, difficulties with parenting or co-parenting, career related hurdles and work dissatisfaction, adult ADHD, OCD, and intrusive thoughts.

Do you or your child have difficulties with regulating emotions, staying focused and organized, or maintaining social and personal relationships? Have you been feeling overwhelmed, under-stimulated, or burned out on life? Are you a young person struggling to launch into adulthood post-pandemic? I work with people who are neurodivergent across all ages with diagnoses such as ASD & ADHD. I also find great joy in helping people with trauma, mood disorders, relationship conflicts, life adjustments, or difficulties with grief and loss. I practice therapy that is affirming of all identities, orientations, and cultures.

I have been providing psychological and behavioral services in the Chicagoland and Grand Rapids, Michigan area for the last 14 years. In session I am empathetic and positive, working collaboratively with each client, in overcoming life challenges. Due to the vast amount of experience I have gained in both psychotherapy as well as behavioral modification, my therapeutic approach is diverse and can be non-directive, guiding the client at their own pace, or directive in nature. My goal is to assist each client to a happier, healthier, productive life, in a safe environment.

I enjoy working with diverse individuals from all walks of life as my experience has been eclectic. Working with folks who need to temporarily borrow some hope as they build themselves up is a welcome experience.
