Molly approaches counseling from a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and client-centered perspective. She believes that all individuals naturally strive toward growth and wholeness, guided by a nurturing inner wisdom or real self. Her counseling practice is rooted in attachment-based psychodynamic theory, meaning that our early life experiences impact the way we view ourselves, relate to others, and understand the world around us. Sometimes these experiences can impair that inner wisdom and prevent us from living as our authentic selves.
Molly integrates this theoretical lens with Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help clients process trauma and move beyond their negative experiences to realize their full potential. She has experience working with complex trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and grief and loss.
Molly holds a Master’s degree in Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling from Portland State University. Before joining Eastside Counseling, Molly worked in community mental health and outpatient clinic settings with teens and adults.
