I have worked as a mental health provider for more than 16 years, working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma and other challenges. I believe in the inseparable aspects of mental wellness and healthy lifestyle changes as each complements the other. We offer a blend of therapeutic services aimed at integrating mental health techniques with lifestyle changes. I work with parents with children with behavioral problems and attend EIP meetings to support parents. The program offers medication management.

In my 25 years of practice I have helped adults, children and teens overcome a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, anger problems and alcohol/drug addictions using traditional (cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy) and non-traditional (Eastern philosophy and meditation, and art therapy) methods. I believe that all people have the ability to help themselves, but sometimes due to overwhelming life circumstances, hardships, and crises; they become "stuck."

We go to doctors, gym and nail salon to take care of ourselves; talk therapy can and should be part of that plan. My professional career began in 1978, joining Harvard Clinical Faculty in Psychiatry. Throughout the years I’ve continued my training in emerging evidence-based treatments that has enabled me to provide an empathetic, eclectic approach to my work with Adult, Child, and Active Duty Clients & Families in outpatient, inpatient, school and Military settings.

We are all unique individuals and bring so much to the world. My goal is to empower you to tap into your uniqueness and help you overcome any issues that might be causing you to not reach your full potential. I incorporate Geek and Nerd culture into both my individual therapy and my group therapy! I believe that nerdy interests can help us make sense of the world just like music or art. I treat both individual clients as well as run Therapeauticallly Applied- Role Playing Game Social Skills groups!

My ideal client presents depressive symptoms related to trauma & grief. They express that they want to process unresolved childhood issues. They express that the issues have prevented close relationships with their adult children. They want forgiveness and help in creating better ties. The goal may be to explore & resolve issues related to traumatic events and improve overall mood. Interventions may include sharing details of the event and how it has affected their relationships, using positive self-talk, developing positive coping skills, and identifying effective strategies to communicate thoughts and feelings.
