I have over 20 years of experience. My specialities include intensive one on one therapy, trauma and family and marriage counseling. I work with children, adolescents and adults. I am a Clinical Social Work Supervisor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I address addiction, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, sleep, sports, and weight loss management. I teach coping skills, communication skills, healthy relationships, positive mindset & help motivate clients to make change. I have a certification in PTSD and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia. I use CBT to assist clients in meeting their needs and goals.

My desire is to guide clients to hope and healing amidst the stress and pain that life can bring. I understand that seeking help and creating change can be uncomfortable but counseling can be a safe place to express hurts and find solutions and ways to cope. My belief is that we are relational beings and that the people we interact with greatly impact our thoughts and behaviors. I am passionate about helping my clients to find peace from the events that have hurt them and enhance the daily living and current relationships.

My education and years of experience help me to form a therapeutic alliance with clients, find solutions and build strengths to maintain the personal growth they achieve. I believe that treating anxiety, depression and trauma is a collaborative process that is achieved by a variety of best practice techniques based on both science and common sense.

With over 19 years of experience providing a broad range of mental health services, my current practice strongly emphasizes providing therapeutic interventions for children with behavioral and emotional challenges, while also welcoming the opportunity to work with families, individuals and couples needing counseling services. Over the course of my career, I have gained experience in many elements of the mental health field. Some of those include clinical intake, general counseling, marital counseling, crisis intervention, crisis management, facilitating psychoeducational groups, and child behavior management.
