Engaging in therapy is a vulnerable and sometimes scary process. I specialize in working with couples in a committed relationship. Working on relationships I often find the thing that brings couples together initially, gets lost after the "honeymoon" period is over. It is easy to get complacent with all of life's stressors. Being a strength-based therapist, I believe that anything is possible if both people are willing to work. And to be honest, therapy is work! I view my clients as the experts in their life and work together with them to create positive change.
Therapy is a discovery process. Whether I am working with an individual, a family, or couple, the process always focuses on looking beyond the surface. Often times the dilemma that brings people into treatment is merely a symptom of something more. Something that through discovery and understanding can be reformed to create balance in life.
Though I specialize in families and couples in a committed relationship, I also enjoy working with individuals. Whether its dealing with depression, improving communication, conflict resolution, anxiety, or processing trauma to name a few, we'll work together to meet your goals in a safe and comfortable environment free of judgment.
