I believe therapy is based off a cooperative relationship between the therapist and client working together towards what you find important. Many events throughout the course of our lives shape and mold us; These life experiences and lessons can have a huge impact on our relationships with others and ourselves that leaves us feeling stuck or dissatisfied. I have over 8 years of experience working in clinics and community based service settings; I currently work primarily with adults with significant experience in relationship issues, career, self-esteem, trauma and abuse, stress, anxiety and depression.

As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker I have worked within a variety of settings with diverse individuals providing me with numerous and valuable experiences. My career has given me the ability to independently conduct assessments and provide help to a wide variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, ethnic, educational and other diversified backgrounds. My career has allowed me to complete a range of advanced social work methods with families, individuals and groups demonstrating skills in casework with even the most difficult clients and their families.

Hello and welcome. My name is Matt Stella, and my goal is to reconnect you to the wisdom and depth in your life that make all problems workable. In fact, the worst symptoms and problems that we wrestle with often hold the seed for growth and transformation. Working with adults, couples, and men's groups, my life’s work is to facilitate transformation out of all forms of suffering. Part of my work is to serve male survivors of sexual abuse or assault. I have been in private practice for over 22 years after a career in business management. My specialties are Addictictions, mood disorders (Depresion, BiPolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorder), OCD, ADHD, and some Personality Disorders. My clinical experience also includes treating couples and families. The office is located on Thorndike Street in downtown Beverly immediately behind City Hall. There is ample off street parking at the rear of the building. My hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Mo-Fr.
