Personally, for me life is what life does, and trust me I have had my share of life experiences’ However, we as individuals can manage our lives by learning different coping strategies and techniques to enhance our thoughts.
The myth of therapy should be expelled expeditiously. Therapy is like tabula rasa (a blank slate). It’s a time where you can express your feelings in a comfortable environment with confidentiality. How many people would like to experience revealing your innermost thoughts without worrying about opinions and judgment. Well, start here with me and indulge in the ambience of a therapeutic experience that will afford you the opportunity to heal and gain insight.

Life presents us with numerous challenges that we must navigate daily to progress. I specialize in guiding adolescents, and adults through these obstacles, aiding in the development of coping mechanisms to tackle a wide array of issues. These include feelings of low self-esteem, anxiety, sadness, mood disorders, addiction, grief, severe mental disease, trauma, family conflict, and existential uncertainty. By engaging in open discussions, significant introspection, and a thorough assessment of difficulties, I enable individuals to develop techniques that free them from ingrained and detrimental self-perceptions, allowing for growth.

How we handle our relationships, with each other and with ourselves, is an important and vital part of life.
I love working with motivated people who are ready to take a bold and compassionate look at their patterns - behavioral and emotional. I feel that people need help uncovering their own resources and that personal empowerment is the key to living more fully. Being out of "balance," whether that's behaviorally, emotionally, or spiritually, causes tremendous distress. My main goal in treatment is to help my client restore balance, thereby creating the opportunity to develop healthy, mindful choices in all areas of life.

UPDATE as of 9/20/24... I currently am very limited in being able to take on new clients. I have some morning to midday availability but absolutely zero afternoon/evening appts. I appreciate your interest and apologize for any inconvenience this may create. We all struggle in life sometimes and need help! In this day and age it can be hard to find the space to discuss the challenges of life with someone in a safe and genuine way. I enjoy meeting people where they are at in life, without judgement, and helping them sort out their next steps whether they be for improvement, maintenance, or understanding.

You must determine where you are going in your life, because you cannot get there unless you move in that direction.
We are more capable of change than we believe. Before change is attainable, we must believe change is possible. Stephanie is Level II trained in EMDR, a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from symptoms & emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. In a relaxed environment using natural conversation, Stephanie helps clients become aware of self-defeating thoughts & behaviors that contribute to feeling overwhelmed & low self-esteem. By recognizing & changing these patterns, growth & healthy emotional responses develop, while self-doubt & confusion are transformed to self-confidence, clarity, & peace.

Please know that life can throw us in many different directions (sometimes all at once, too).
Sometimes we struggle with BIG things in life, and sometimes we're just forcing ourselves through the daily grind. No matter where you are I'd love to help. I also specialize in working with men and specific issues to men - masculinity, confidence, self-esteem, and others. I am currently seeing clients ages 13 and up. Together we address problems systematically, together, in a non-judgmental manner while keeping the most important things as our focus.

I am a gender affirming therapist and practice trauma informed care. The most common thing I hear from clients when they come to me is, "I've tried it all." They have done the work and feel they have plateaued in some way. I'm here to intuitively guide and teach you new skills and perspectives to go deeper in your connection to self, others, and this life.

I hope to help you, my future client, meet our goals and find the changes you seek in life.
An ideal mental health client is someone open to making positive changes in their life. This willingness to change is crucial in the therapeutic process for clients who are open to self-awareness, have motivation, and are open to feedback.

Wallace Davis has had a lifetime of helping others to find direction for their lives, to become more than they were and to reach their potential as a person and family member.
Sometimes life is just tough...and we can't see through the fog and darkness. We lose our way, or something bumps us off our path. Sometimes we need a new direction so we can be all that God created us to be. We might need to change our behavior...and more importantly change our thinking. Pain has been a part of all our lives. How we deal with pain will determine much of our future.

I encourage you to take the brave step of reaching out if you are experiencing stress, depression, anxiety, anger, grief, self-esteem issues, existential questions, trauma, problems in your relationships, or if you desire to increase your coping skills to meet the many difficulties that come our way in life.
Life brings about many issues that we often want help working through. Irvin Yalom wrote “it’s the relationship that heals," and I aim to build a strong therapeutic alliance with each of my clients in a safe, warm, and empathic environment where we will work together to determine your specific goals for therapy, identify strategies to make your desired changes, heal wounds, increase your coping skills, and improve your overall health.

Life Coaching Therapists

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
