I know firsthand the challenges and the isolation that can come with it. In my practice, I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can be fully yourself and feel comfortable doing so. Life is hard. Sometimes life is harder than what we’re equipped for. When that happens, seeking help can be daunting, and finding a therapist who’s a good fit even harder. While I can’t magically make everything better or brighter, I will sit in and walk through the darkness with you until we make it to the light. I have experience working with individuals who are dealing with trauma, depression, self-harm, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, and identity crisis. My areas of particular focus are sexual trauma, emotional abuse, suicidal ideation, self-harm, attachment issues, depression, PTSD, and those dark night-of-the-soul times.

I want to work with folks who are open to doing the work - which is a hard thing to do. I validate that. But let's do this if you have the space. I provide including both psychotherapy, as well as brief assessments for WPATH letters for life saving, gender affirmative health care + GHAC letters to appeal insurance denials of coverage for GAHC (don't back down!). I'm trained in trauma and resiliency counseling - many experiences can be traumatic - hurricanes, flooding, divorce, accidents, assault, chronic pain, work issues - even COVID is considered traumatic to some people. Anxiety and depression are increasing as the long-term effects of COVID are being discovered.

I specialize in working with clients navigating anxiety, perfectionism and OCD or OCD-related experiences. Many of my clients outwardly appear to have it all figured out, but internally the dialogue looks different. Thoughts like, "I'm not feeling like myself" might feel central. My passion in this work is to support you in finding whatever it is you are seeking, greater insight, some ways to do it different or maybe something else to be discovered. I believe in therapeutic work that supports not only with insight, but also skills work to assist you in making lasting and sustainable change in alignment with your needs and wants.
