As a clinical therapist licensed in both Michigan and Kentucky. I have undergone extensive training and education to develop a deep understanding of human behavior, mental health, and social systems. This Knowledge allows me to approach therapy from a holistic perspective, considering the various factors that may be impacting your well-being.

My clinical skills are vast after over 30 years in private practice and 40 years as a social worker. I have worked with the military in Europe as a family therapist and participate in the Give an Hour Program here in Kentucky. I serve on several boards including the Kent School Social Work Board, and the National Association of Social Work Ethics Committee.

Currently, I offer telehealth therapy only. My style is both conversational and relational. I offer an authentic presence within a collaborative, lively relationship in which self-discovery can be non-threatening and perhaps, even fun. I am committed to sharing everything I know which I believe will help heal the difficulties in one's life. I am inspired each day by the courage clients have each moment they show up for therapy. I became a therapist because, to me, the value in life comes when you return to your value within.

I believe that we can get stuck in the mire of hopelessness when we feel overwhelmed, or when our circumstances are more than we can handle. If you struggle with navigating your emotions, finding meaning/purpose, overcoming difficult or painful circumstances of the past (flashbacks, avoidance, fear, triggers) or even the present (arguments, emotional angst, numbness, irritation, anxiety, worry, hypervigilance), I want to support you. I specialize in anxiety; depression; eating disorders; relational issues; sex therapy and education, as well as helping folks work through general/sexual trauma using somatic or body-centered methods.

I have many years of experience working with early childhood trauma and severe, persistent mental illness, varying from ages of 5 years to 70+. My goal is to empower and advocate for positive change within you, as the individual, and the system as a whole. The place that we will create together is a safe and judgement free space. I work through an Existential foundation, to help those I work with seek meaning and purpose, with skills built from experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, all within the context of a trauma-informed approach.
