I work with adults, adolescents and children to create a safe space in which to explore and understand struggles, develop healthy coping skills, and cultivate fulfilling relationships. I bring my understanding of development across the life span, listening skills, and a commitment to help each individual feel understood, supported, and challenged to move toward healing, growth, and the change they desire.
I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents, and provide services tailored to the child or adolescent’s developmental level and needs. I help to strengthen family relationships by working to understand the feelings and needs that underlie troubling behavior or symptoms, and helping the child or teenager develop skills to navigate their world more effectively. I offer consultations for parents who wish to address any worries, struggles or concerns they are experiencing as parents, or to work on their parenting skills and their relationship with their children.
As a social worker I have experience working with children and families in medical, school, and foster care settings and provide clinical supervision, as well as serving on the faculty of the Washington School of Psychiatry’s Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Training Program.
