—Not accepting new clients— Do you long to become yourself? Do you seek a greater sense of purpose and meaning, belonging and aliveness, and truer, deeper bonds with those you love? As a depth therapist, I work with these human needs and desires. Fears, anxieties, compulsions and trauma interfere with vital, heartfelt living. Examining and facing such difficulties is the important work of therapy. It is a journey of healing and discovery that can transform your life. My orientation is Jungian, psychodynamic and transpersonal. Soul, heart, mind and body are all included in my perspective on well-being.

Are you a woman who feels like something's missing in your life, or in you? Do you tend to put your needs last or minimize your problems? Maybe you're hard on yourself or have been pulled off balance by: stress, anxiety, self-doubt, depression, grief, life transition, relationship struggles, or a general sense of dissatisfaction. I counsel and coach women just like you through challenging life passages and complicated times. I'll help you reclaim the wise, empowered woman within and also encourage you to see yourself as worthy and good enough. The result: self-compassion, self-belief, deeper connections, more aliveness.

It is said that the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. Has your journey hit a detour or perhaps a fork-in-the-road? Often, life’s most challenging passages offer us opportunities to feel more alive, present and connected. At the same time, these passages can be difficult to navigate. When feelings of sadness, uncertainty or fear become overwhelming it is helpful to have someone who can help you find your way – to help you get back on your path and discover new possibilities and hope.

I believe one's mental health is the foundation for overall health and longevity. Feeling scene, heard and supported are the cornerstones of positive mental health. Having a safe sounding board can be life changing and my goal with clients is to make sure that they know they don't have to hold life's "heavy stuff" alone. Learning how to re-connect to self as well as improve communication with others is a focus when working together.

I hold a deep and abiding belief in the inherent health and wellness in each of my clients and my work is to guide them to rediscover this core sense of aliveness, agency and resiliency. In addition to my clinical training in psychology, I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and Mindfulness Educator. I have integrated traditional psychotherapy with cutting-edge, body-based modalities that address childhood developmental issues and Complex Trauma. I create a safe environment in which to renegotiate learned survival strategies that, while needed at one time, compromise our ability to connect with ourselves and others.

Jungian Therapists

How does Jungian therapy work?

Jungian therapy, also called analytical psychology, focuses on a patient’s inner experiences and unconscious mind. Exploring a person’s unconscious mind can be achieved through several means, including the analysis of memories and dreams, and through physical exercises, such as art, dance, and word association.

How long does Jungian therapy last?

Jungian therapy is an intensive treatment type. Because its goal is to understand a person as a whole, including the unconscious aspects of them, treatment can range from months to years. Since patients learn the theory behind Jungian therapy during treatment, they can also practice its tenets throughout life after therapy sessions have completed.

Is Jungian therapy effective?

According to studies, many patients find success with Jungian therapy, and the century-old treatment has a devoted following. Researchers note that the therapy is particularly useful in improving relationships, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. Improvements in problem areas seem to continue even after the end of Jungian therapy, as people are able to continue working on themselves using the tools they’ve learned during the treatment.

Is Jungian therapy evidence-based?

Jungian therapy is theory-based, derived from the theories of Carl Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist often called one of the fathers of psychology, along with Sigmund Freud. Jung developed his theories from observing the problems of patients, and developed many theories of how the mind works. Subsequent psychological research has determined that Jungian therapy can lead to significant improvement in most patients.
