If an acorn contains within it an oak, so also you began your life with the prospect of becoming a certain person, your natural self. Like that young oak, which managed to grow somehow despite poor soil or too much shade or scarce water, you also have survived. But your growth has been affected by some toxic experiences, some injuries. Despite those woundings to your natural self, you can still imagine who you are meant to be. In fact you have already begun to realize who you really are, despite the distorting influences that you have been through.

I have a broad education in the humanities and social sciences, which equips me to explore with you the layers of symbolism in your present life, your relationships, your childhood, and your perplexing dreams. I am more interested in the depth of your personality, than in giving you advice.
I do not specialize in a particular "disorder." My strength lies in understanding what is common to us all as human beings and what makes a person happy and healthy. I have gained these perspectives in large measure through my work with my clients, seeking to understand one person at a time in the deepest way that I am able.
