Some of my specialties include LGBTQIA+, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationships, boundary setting, people-pleasing, spirituality/religious trauma, grief, stress, identity exploration, and self esteem.
The first time I decided to go to therapy was pretty terrifying. I was tired of feeling down, having negative thoughts about myself, and feeling anxious all the time. I trusted a dear friend who had been to therapy who encouraged me to try it out, and I decided that things couldn’t get worse than it already was. So I reached out to a therapist. And I was scared to start. After being involved in my own healing journey, I found a passion to want to be a part of others’ lives in a similar way. I have healed in ways I honestly didn't know were possible, and I’m still on that journey today.

Have you been feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, depressed or like your life seems to be really hard right now? Maybe you are just so tired of always putting yourself last and have lost who you are and what you want out of life. My practice creates a welcoming environment for clients. The key elements consistently present are a fostering of hope, optimism and safety that facilitates self-expression and self-understanding. There is a saying, “Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.” Life has its struggles and difficulties that come from multiple sources. Our past, our circumstances, even our own emotions and thoughts can cause us pain. How we respond to these struggles creates opportunities for growth and a lessening of our suffering.

The best place you’ll ever find for centering yourself and growing in awareness is right where you are planted! Challenges are part of every journey. What becomes most important in moments of difficulty is not pulling away or reacting in a way that “uproots” where you are, but responding right where you are in a way that is grounding. Cultivate roots of SELF-awareness & build a foundation of meaning & value. When a person is able to recognize other possibilities and make a connection with their true sense of self, a shift can be made in these moments, opening up new directions that become self-determined. Grow through life!
