I work with clients to teach them healthy coping and how to change their perspective. A new way of thinking can truly make a significant impact on how a person feels. I am trained in EMDR therapy, a powerful treatment for trauma and PTSD. I graduated from Bradley University with a masters degree in Human Development Counseling and have over 10 years experience providing therapy.

I have served the Peoria area in various therapeutic roles over the past 7 years working with children and adolescents in residential and community-based programs. These experiences have provided me with a wealth of clinical knowledge and anecdotal experiences to provide each client with a holistic approach that addresses all factors of their functioning. Through this, I am able to match clients with their identified goals and actualize their ideal self to lead healthy, fulfilling lives. Every client has the capability to achieve their goals, and I provide the framework to assist them in reaching these goals.

Dr. Diana Schroer, LCPC, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois with over 20 years’ experience working with children and families. Diana has been working with children and families since 1993, specializing in areas related to emotional and behavioral development, sexual and physical abuse, trauma, attachment, depression, anxiety, and grief and loss. The theoretical orientation that best describes my beliefs, values, and worldview is integrative.

Life can be hard, painful, confusing, scary, and challenging. Events happen that leave us reeling with brokenness, grief, disbelief, guilt, fear, insecurity, and shame. We don't know what to do or which way to turn or how we got here in the first place. We may hold onto false beliefs about our self-worth, negative thoughts that tear us apart, relationships that are toxic, and behaviors that are destructive. All in an attempt to somehow alleviate how we are feeling. I am here to partner with you in working towards wholeness and healing and to empower you to move forward, happily and confidently.

Darin received both his Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Illinois. He has been assisting individuals, couples and families for more than 20 years and uses a strength-based approach to his counseling. Darin takes great satisfaction in helping his clients increase their self-awareness in order to improve their ability to regulate their thoughts and behaviors . Areas of skill building include but are not limited to: avoiding thinking errors, increasing personal responsibility, increasing emotional intelligence, assertiveness training, integrating faith into decision making, stress management, enhancing parenting skills and improving self-esteem.
