Hello! I am the Co-Director and Psychotherapist with The Naperville Counseling Center. My clinical experience focus on working with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with substance abuse, relationship issues, work-life balance, stress, anxiety, depression, mood management, cultural identity issues, life transitions, and self-esteem. I enjoy working with individuals from various backgrounds and cultures. I also speak Punjabi and have full comprehension of Hindi/ Urdu and provide bilingual counseling services to my clients.

I choose to approach therapy in a way that addresses each unique person as a whole with many complex components contributing to their current state. Through empathy and genuine interaction, I seek to understand each person in the moment. I provide a warm and caring therapeutic environment that lets clients explore the problems they are looking to change. My goal is to help clients make changes to find happiness and fulfillment by offering interventions and information for success.

Karri has a passion for helping people find their way from mental illness to mental wellness. Karri believes that everyone has a story to tell and that through the work of recovery, people living with mental illness and substance use disorders can rewrite the ending to their own stories.

Mickey has experience as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor and an Individual Therapist for adults & adolescents with dual diagnosis. Mickey also served as a Program Manager for adults requiring training and support in their community & workplace. He uses a multicultural approach in order to offer effective interventions to diverse clientele. Mickey has experience with individuals having adjustments to disabilities, relationships, daily functioning, anxiety, mood and depression.

When people feel isolated or alone in their situation, they need someone else to help them gain a new perspective, feel differently, or at times escape the state at hand. My philosophy is to view therapy as if it were a "tune up" to help people keep operating through life. Just like cars need regular tune ups and oil changes to keep running smoothly, people also need regular check-ins and support for internal issues. This is especially important for people of color and minority populations because they face additional societal challenges (including microaggressions) that may or may not be overt but are often painful.

Heather Lemke specializes in behavioral concerns, school refusal, social skill development, parent-child relational struggles, conflict resolution, the development of coping skills, stress and anger management, and general communication support. A former crisis worker, Heather's expertise also involves working with youth, post-hospitalization.

Antonio Salvat, Psy.D., LMFT has a doctorate in clinical psychology and is a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist. He specializes in individual, couples, and family therapy with adolescents and adults of various backgrounds and sexual orientations. Dr. Salvat has worked with people struggling with depression, anxiety, Asperger's Syndrome (autism spectrum), Borderline Personality Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, thought disorders, emotional disorders, sexuality and gender, co-dependency, boundary issues, and general life problems.

Marc specializes in working with adolescents, young adults, & adults on a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, relationship problems, stress management, LGBTQI, & education related inquiries. His approach is solution-focused & viewed through a cognitive-behavioral lens, with the goal of creating a partnership based on rapport & connection to best develop strategies that meet each individual's unique needs. Therapy is a great place to share your goals so together we can create a path. I believe many problems start in the past and we can see that best in the present. Frequently we will work together on what’s going on now, in the present, and then work on understanding and resolving the past if you want to explore it.

She has successfully worked with adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, divorce, and parenting concerns. Her work with children, adolescents, and their families include facilitating families navigating ADHD issues, school noncompliance, divorce, mood disorders, IEP issues, oppositional defiance, and helping young adults transition into the adult stage of life.
