I am an alternative therapist who believes talk therapy alone is simply not enough. This is why I have gone to great lengths over my 20 years of experience to develop and grow as a therapist to learn more, do more, and provide more, to both my adult and child clients. In addition to talk therapy I also integrate the mind, body, and spirit into treatment through the use of sandplay therapy (for adults and children), play therapy, dream work, art, and hypnotherapy. These approaches bring the whole brain into treatment. Simply put, no one wants to simply exist, we are meant to thrive. Let's move beyond coping.

My passion is helping people who have experienced emotional and physical trauma, neurocognitive deficits or medical injury/issues. I create a safe but challenging environment for people. Based upon IFS, I believe we all have multiple parts of ourselves and a core self within each of us that can help guide, and eventually heal our burdened parts. I believe in the incredible power of the mind and the magnificence of the human spirit. I use cognitive retraining, hypnotherapy, EMDR, IFS, HRV, and Neurofeedback (NFB) to help achieve self regulation, an internal cohesive connection and an improved quality of life.

Amy specializes in healing women & girls ages 12-45 with relationship trauma (friendships and romantic), healing inner child wounds (bullying, sexual abuse, physical abuse), toxic relationship patterns, emotional eating issues, increasing self love and post-partum depression/anxiety. She uses EMDR, deep guided imagery, hypnotherapy, CBT, and DBT tools to help make positive changes happen. Welcome! We provide traditional and holistic healing for mind, body & spirit health. We work with individuals, couples, families & groups age 5 and up. The facility is located on a main street with free parking. This is a private practice with a private waiting room in a very comfortable & soothing setting. Look for the yellow house with raspberry trim. Hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. When you call, we will do a brief intake, verify your insurance benefits & schedule your first appointment. We do not have a waiting list and can schedule your first appointment within the same week.

Exploring strategies for life change is a fascinating endeavor. I partner with clients to help them create significant transformations, i.e. help change their point of view about problematic concerns, change behaviors that need to be increased or decreased and change longstanding destructive patterns to new life enhancing choices. I rely heavily on scientific findings to facilitate human change. There are varieties of effective traditional and modern psychological treatments such or eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Cognitive behavioral therapy is the gold standard for anxiety, depressions, phobias and fears.

As a seasoned therapist of 32 years, I have a unique set of skills that allows me to assist in your healing. I practice the spiriutal concepts that I believe in and the healing techniques that I love. The techniques that I love the most are EFT, EMDR, Rapid Resolution Therapy, and Aroma Freedom Technique. These techniques allow me all that is necessary for us to heal your trauma issues or any other issues you may have. My passion is creating a space for all of us to unite and enrich your life.
