Amy specializes in assisting healing to happen in women & girls ages 12-45 with traumatic pasts (friendships/family/romantic/abuse), healing inner child wounds (bullying/parental abuse/rape), toxic relationship patterns, emotional eating issues, and increasing self-love. Along with processing past traumas the other goal is to teach you lots of coping tools to effectively manage life on your own. She uses EMDR, deep guided imagery, hypnotherapy, IFS, Imaginal Nurturing, Inner Child/Shadow Work, CBT, and DBT tools to help make positive healing changes happen.
Amy Fischer, BSW, MSW, LCSW founded MindOasis Counseling in Peoria, IL in 2014. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's Degree in Social Work from Illinois State University in 2009 and a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from University of Illinois in 2007. She is trained in EMDR, Heart Centered Hypnotherapy, Somatic Healing and Mindfulness
Amy is a mom to three children ages 14, 11, and 6 . She has been with her husband for 22 years. Amy enjoys gardening, painting & pottery. Amy is empathetic but very assertive with her clients to enable them to reach their goals.
