Welcome to my profile! I hold a license in Marriage and Family Therapy and have spent more than 10 years helping individuals, couples and families overcome various life transitions and challenges. This includes working with diverse communities and helping to manage a range of presenting issues. My experience includes crisis stabilization and short term therapy as well as longer term, strengths based treatment. Additionally, I have worked in a school setting and understand the complexities of balancing emotional needs of children and adolescents with their educational goals.

Between the frenetic pace of the modern lifestyle and media’s frequent messaging that we are not enough (which looks unique for each of us) it's no surprise that while we may be more “connected” than ever, we may also be finding ourselves more stressed, lonely, scattered, and/or irritable than ever. We've been sold the belief that if we "just work harder", then we will finally unlock the life we’ve always wanted. And yet, this equation doesn’t always seem to add up the way we thought it would. And that can leave us with a sense of frustration, disillusionment, and feeling stuck.

I work with people looking to move beyond roadblocks in their lives. These roadblocks can be as straightforward as learning how to manage anxiety or depression, or as complex as figuring out how to thrive or survive in an important relationship that's currently under stress. While many clients seek help with specific problems such as marriage, parenting, maneuvering workplace dynamics, or getting through specific crises, others are trying to find ways to overcome personal hurdles in their lives and move beyond their own self-perceived limitations. Whatever the concern, we tackle it together and develop a plan for moving forward.

Dealing with the daily struggles of anxiety, stress, depression, or even trying to cope with traumatic past or current events can feel incredibly overwhelming, isolating and debilitating. As my client, I want to support you by providing a comfortable, caring space to talk about your challenges, while also providing skills and tools to help you manage these struggles and find a more balanced, joy-filled life.

My passion is to help adolescents, adults, and families develop the social and emotional awareness needed to thrive. People do as well as they can, but sometimes need support in order to understand themselves and others. Obstacles can get in the way. I can help those obstacles become opportunities for growth and success through insight, practice, and collaboration.

My Masters Degree from Aurora University, my rich work experience, as well as my own life journey give me valuable insights and wisdom that help me relate to my clients.

As a Marriage and Family therapist I serve couples, families and also individual needs. There are many different needs that I serve one of them being mental health disorders such as Anxiety and Depression. Other presenting issues that I have worked with include, low motivation levels, lack of self esteem, school concerns, marital/ couple concerns, parent/child concerns and I can help process past trauma.

I enjoy helping those on a journey toward better self-awareness around their emotional life, satisfaction in relationships, and getting through what seems stuck. Counseling is a place to feel safe to explore difficult relationships or past or current trauma. I want my clients to feel advocated for, and to find a deeper understanding of self and gain insight into how our past affects present relationships and struggles. Finding your true-self is so important. Skill building and assertiveness training are also a part of the therapy I do. My experience for the last 22 years has been in individual therapy with kids, teens, and adults.

My warm, caring approach combines compassion, trust, and strength-based practices to provide a safe, judgment-free environment for individuals and families to learn and grow.
