I want my clients to believe in themselves and what they can accomplish without needing external validation. My goal is for you to feel confident in your decision-making to process your needs/issues without relying on others.

My ideal client struggles with insecurities, fears, has low self- esteem, and difficulties to identify his or her strengths. He or she has fears, and anxieties, and create the worst possible case scenarios in his or her inner dialogue for situations that he or she finds threatening or challenging. Also my ideal client needs to identify strategies to better manage their time. My ideal client struggles with anxieties in his or her relationship, which could lead to codependency and anxious attachment patterns.

I have a great deal of experience with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and addiction. I enjoy working with clients who are motivated to change, learn, and develop new skills. Honesty helps the process tremendously! I enjoy working with them because I have so many tips and techniques that I have seen work, and that gives me a great deal of motivation and drive to help them!

I received my Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Barry University. I am licensed in the state of Florida as a Mental Health Counselor and certified by the Florida Certification Board as a Certified Addictions Professional. Mr. Sherman is a licensed clinical social work therapist (LCSW) with an additional certification in addictions counseling (CAP). He received a BS degree from the University of South Florida (USF) in social-behavioral sciences. He completed a master’s degree in social work at Florida International University. He has been practicing for 30 years. He specializes in co-occurring disorders of mental health, addictions treatment and relapse prevention. Additionally, he has expertise in dealing with cross-addiction, impulse control disorders, and job/employment guidance counseling.

I have a 20+ year background in providing counseling and psychotherapeutic services to integrated behavioral health patients of all ages, from the chronically mentally ill, self-esteem problems, relationship problems, spirituality concerns, identity issues, those who suffer from terminal medical illnesses, in addition to those battling severe chemical dependency problems.
