Hello! I have a passion for working with individuals from age ten through late adulthood. I have experience working with individuals who may be struggling with infertility, adjusting to life after baby, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, OCD and other life transitions you may be experiencing.

I specialize in psychotherapy for children, adolescents and young adults ranging in age from 9 to 25 years. You may be looking for therapy for yourself, your child or for your family and if so you have come to the right place. My philosophy to therapy is that goals are met and behavior change is created through the combination of an open and honest relationship with your therapist, development of new skills and increased insight into problems. I work hard to create an environment where clients can feel safe, have the ability to be open and honest and feel supported while they work through what is often a difficult part of life.

I specialize in children and adolescent therapy for young people aged 6 to 17 years old. My focus is helping children, pre-teens, and teens understand themselves in this BIG world. The caregivers I work with have all sorts of questions such as: “why does my child act this way?”, or “why do they react like this?”. Maybe feeling stuck or like a “bad parent”. Some children may experience events and/or ongoing hardships in their lives that impact their ability to cope. My mission is to help kiddos and families move forward in life with a sense of safety, connection, and empowerment to live a fulfilled life.

Michelle Zimney; MS, LPC is experienced working with children, adolescents, and families who have experienced trauma. Michelle is trained/certified in several evidenced-based treatment modalities such as Parent Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT- Tapping), and Reunification & Family Therapy. Prior to working as a clinical therapist, Michelle was a child and family advocate. Michelle is passionate about her work with families; helping them to overcome adverse life experiences.

I work with women to address anxiety, depression, trauma, and boundaries. I have a special passion for premarital counseling. I enjoy working with clients who are ready to dig deep, engage in present-day issues, and are ready to be empowered to make changes that will impact the trajectory of their future. I love to help clients develop self-awareness and use handouts, podcasts, and books as resources to take therapy outside the office.

I am experienced in working with individuals ages 18 and up and couples. I have experience working with those struggling with stress management, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, domestic violence, sexual assault, and other emotional difficulties. I take a collaborative approach to help those I work with accomplish their goals.

The Kid's Therapy Center LLC is a mental health counseling and training center focusing on children, adolescents and adults. Therapy is offered individually and in a group setting. In addition, the center offers education for professionals, students, or caregivers pertaining to childhood issues they may encounter within their profession and viable treatment options.

I am passionate about addiction counseling due to my personal background, which includes overcoming my own struggles with substance abuse. This experience has given me a unique perspective and deep empathy for those facing similar challenges. I am committed to helping others navigate their own paths to sobriety and wellness. I have developed a strong understanding of the complexities of addiction and the importance of providing compassionate, non-judgmental support. I am dedicated to expanding my knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training in order to provide the highest level of care to my clients.

I provide outpatient therapy services to children, adults, and families addressing issues related, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, grief/loss, divorce, abuse, cancer/medical issues, and women's issues (infertility, perinatal loss, abortion, etc). My goal is to assist individuals and/or families in finding the balance needed to lead stable, healthy lifestyles while creating and rebuilding essential, life-long relationships. I have worked with children, adults, and families for several years and focus on respect, love, connections, and most importantly, discovery.

I help older teens and adults reprocess and distance the pains of past hurts and traumas. Clients who engage in therapy with me are tired of big emotions jumbling up their life and are tired of memories stealing their precious moments of time. Clients are able to reprocess painful and traumatic memories and start living life again without the sting of those troubling memories.

I will not flatter you, I will not judge you. In my experienced view, depression, anxiety, panic, dissociation, melancholy, etc. can be symptoms of internal struggles or past traumatic experiences.
