By utilizing a variety of approaches and interventions, such as: EMDR, Theraplay, TRBI, Mindfulness, CBT, Sand Tray-based Therapy, and Neurofeedback, Greg equips trauma survivors with the space, support, and skills necessary to identify triggers, develop healthy coping skills, decrease traumatic symptoms, and practice trauma processing and integration.
Greg specializes in trauma-focused therapy for children ages 5 & up, adolescents, and adults. For those who have experienced childhood trauma, relational trauma, or complex trauma, life often feels overwhelming. Their sense of self, relationships, & view of the past, present, & future become rocky at best. As a result many trauma survivors live in chronic state of anxiety, depression, numbness, fatigue, burn out & suffer from illness. In addition to trauma survivors, Greg works closely with children, teens, young adults, & adoptive families struggling with depression, anxiety, dissociation, mood disorders, behavioral issues & more.

I combine attachment theory, family systems and trauma informed treatment, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing).
What has motivated me in my 20+ years of practice me is the belief that change is possible when aligned with hope. Presenting issues are often about relationships and self discovery. Professionally and personally, I can attest that healthy relationships are vital to emotional well being- so exploration of relationships, present or past, is one aspect of therapy, along with communication and self understanding. As has been said "we are born in relationship, wounded in relationship, and are healed in relationship".

We can process those memories so they are no longer disturbing using an evidence based treatment called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing ( EMDR) therapy.
Do you feel like you're stuck no matter how hard you try to move forward? Our brains can leave us feeling like we are at the mercy of our past. When disturbing or traumatizing events happen, those events can become locked in our nervous system as if we are frozen in time with all same uncomfortable feelings. People, situations, or events can subconsciously trigger those stuck memories leaving you feeling anxious, paranoid, irritable, depressed, or otherwise fearful without an obvious cause. Together we can heal your trauma and allow you to move on from your pain.

I am trained in EMDR therapy.
Life is a journey that requires moments of reflection on where we have been in order to make decisions about where life can lead us next. Meeting with a therapist enables individuals and families the opportunities to be curious as to why patterns exist and encourages you to ask the questions - is this working for me? Would change benefit me? I am an attachment based therapist that works from a strengths base to encourage individuals to tolerate the discomfort that comes with introspection and inspire growth.

I also provide Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing ( EMDR) which is used to resolve traumatic memories, resulting in healthier day to day functioning.
Sometimes we lose our way in life or we are inhibited by past trauma/grief that can leave us overwhelmed and confused. I believe that you can't always choose your circumstances in life, but you can choose to overcome them. I also believe that you have the power to manage/control your thoughts and feelings instead of allowing them to control you. My goal is to help you work through those past or current issues, overcome those difficult circumstances in life, and to help you gain control over your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in order to help enhance your well-being.

Our EMDR intensives offer a safe, accelerated path to healing, tailored to your needs.
You feel disconnected, like you're watching life from a distance. Emotional numbness, fragmented memories, and the weight of invisible wounds leave you feeling exhausted. You've survived things no one should, but thriving still seems out of reach. Trusting your feelings or feeling present in your own body can be a daily struggle. You've tried healing, but progress feels slow, and it’s hard to find someone who truly understands your experience. You're ready for something different—something that meets you where you are and helps you reconnect with yourself.

EMDR Therapists

Who is EMDR for?

EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.

Why do people need EMDR?

People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?

First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?

First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimizing its ability to trigger anxiety.
