I have a passion for helping clients learn new skills for coping, communication, and problem solving. I encourage clients to find their strengths and to help empower them to achieve their therapy goals. I work collaboratively to create client- centered treatment. I have a background working with individuals, couples, and families. I have experience working with at-risk youth, foster children, and children and teenagers with severe mental illness. I have over a decade of experience working with Active-Duty Service Members with dual diagnosis, mood disorders, depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, trauma, and substance use disorders.

As a Clinical Psychologist with 30+ years of experience, I strive to help you find pathways to enjoy your life, feel more deeply connected to others, and to enhance your sense of meaning in life. My goal is to help you find ways to better cope with the difficulties that bring you to therapy and make healthy changes that enhance the quality of your life. I provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions in a warm, supportive, and professional therapeutic environment. My approach is collaborative and tailored to the personal history and present goals of each of my clients.

I am a psychologist specializing in working with people struggling with substance use and mental health issues, particularly those dealing with both. Other specialties include codependency, boundaries, people with family history of addiction, cultural identity, relationship with finances, low self-esteem and people in unhealthy relationships.

We offer dual diagnosis/co-occurring mental health services for individuals seeking help with depression, anxiety, grief, mood, and substance abuse issues. We are approved examiners for the Board of Nursing (BON) and the Texas Peer Assistance Program for Nurses (TPAPN). We also provide DUI, court-ordered alcohol and substance abuse assessments, DOT SAP, immigration, and domestic violence (VAWA) evaluations and assessments.

Heidi Kinsella has been an active member of the recovery community for over 33 years. She has extensive expertise in the treatment of sexual addiction and was mentored by and worked alongside Dr. Patrick Carnes, the pioneer in sexual addiction research and treatment. Heidi recognizes the importance of having a therapist who understands the complexities of addiction. She has worked with many individuals who have suffered from the effects of substance abuse, sex addiction, and those who have been affected by a loved one's addiction. She offers five day intensive retreats and Equine Assisted Therapy at Fourth Dimension Healing Ranch.

In my work as a therapist and organizational consultant over the last 35+ years, I have assisted youth, adults, families, and organizations in reducing barriers to and facilitating elements of healthy growth, functioning, and the achievement of goals. I work collaboratively with clients for I don't feel that I'm an expert on someone else life.
