My approach is person-centered using trauma-focused counseling and coaching to treat the whole person. I specialize in working with adults and teens (16+) struggling with stress, life transitions and recovery from mental and physical health conditions. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in PA and NJ and a Certified Professional Recovery Coach. All appointments are virtual.

As a licensed psychologist, board certified clinical hypnotherapist and medical psychotherapist, I have been in private practice for 30 years in center city Philadelphia and Chestnut Hill,Pa. I am primarily Jungian, feminist, and cognitive/behavioral in orientation and use a blend of whatever suits the person and situation. My specialties include relationships, depression and anxiety/panic, self-esteem. trauma, and life transitions. I am widely published, formerly on staff at the Belmont Center and at Hahnemann and Temple Universities.The goal is to diminish negative symptoms and patterns, facilitate individuation, find your path and personal meaning in life, at work and in relationships.

I offer individual, couple, and family therapy. Sessions can be conducted face:face or via video telehealth (HIPAA compliant). Much of my work centers on supporting people who are facing career and/or relationship challenges. Many are going through difficult life transitions. Additionally, I frequently treat people with PTSD, depression, and anxiety. I am trained in various approaches, including Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT). He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Temple University and his Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The College of New Jersey. Jonathan has developed an integrative approach to therapy, which includes particular aspects of an assortment of therapeutic techniques and tools, including mindfulness skills.
