As a licensed psychologist, board certified clinical hypnotherapist and medical psychotherapist, I have been in private practice for years in center city Philadelphia . I am primarily Jungian, feminist, and cognitive/behavioral in orientation and use a blend of whatever suits the person and situation. My specialties include relationships, depression and anxiety/panic, self-esteem. trauma, and life transitions. I am widely published, formerly on staff at the Belmont Center and at Hahnemann and Temple Universities.The goal is to diminish negative symptoms and patterns, facilitate individuation, find your path and personal meaning in life, at work and in relationships.
Most patients see me once a week, sometimes more with initial abuse/trauma material. For couples, I may use an initial 4 session model. I work with conscious thoughts and actions and well as unconscious processes, such as dreams and images. I also offer critical incident stress debriefings and executive coaching. I work in cc. Chestnut Hill and virtually.
Confidentiality describes my work, so insurance is not accepted in my private practice. However, as President of PPS, a referral network of therapists with offices throughout the Delaware Valley, we make referrals and "good fits" for those who want to use their insurance or EAP plans and offer a variety of locations, formats and specialty areas.
