Therapy can be either short-term or long-term and it can vary in its purpose for each individual. My practice is a relaxing space for you to achieve whatever it is that you are seeking, be it relief from uncomfortable feelings or a strategy to move on to something that brings more joy. I specialize in working with young adults and adults who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety or a mood disorder. In addition, I can assist you in moving through a life transition, such as a divorce or break-up, a job-loss, or becoming a new parent.
My immediate goal is to learn what brings you to therapy and to help you gain some day-to-day relief of symptoms. Next, I hope to help you gain insight into what triggers you to experience symptoms and to provide you with the skills and techniques needed to feel better.
I believe that the client/counselor relationship is essential to the therapeutic process. My approach is supportive and collaborative.
