I have had the privilege of providing therapy since 2006 and have extensive experience treating adults, children and families dealing with depression , anxiety, divorce, stress management, and trauma.
Life presents each of us with many unique challenges that can illicit feelings of hopeless, anger, anxiety and sadness, hurting our relationships with others and our abilities to manage day to day issues. Through therapeutic support and guidance, these same challenges can be approached as opportunities for growth and positive change. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment to explore the problems you face and help you find your own unique path toward working through them. My approach is tailored to your individual needs, strengths and abilities.

Taking the first step toward improving one's mental health is the most difficult. Individuals suffering from trauma, anxiety and depression need the support of a professional who can help guide them through the uncertainties of life. I view psychotherapy as a collaborative process that promotes growth and the potential for success. I believe that with the right support, individuals can go on to live fulfilling lives.

I specialize in working with children and adolescents struggling with depression and anxiety, as well as working with family dynamics issues.
My ideal client is one who is motivated to work hard and reach their goals. My experience is primarily with children and teens struggling with anxiety, depression , and self-esteem issues, and so although young people don't always know why they feel a certain type of way, being able to identify that something is wrong, and a desire to get help is key to a positive experience in therapy. I find that therapy works best when we are all on the same page, and that clients see the best results when they can hold themselves accountable and do the work outside the therapy session, too!

My areas of focus are anxiety, attachment, depression and perfectionism.
So much of being a person means internally and externally being pushed to your limit. You find yourself overwhelmed, disconnected, unfulfilled, or all three. Trying to capture the perfect work-life balance, being that idealized friend/parent/caregiver, plus the numerous unspoken pressures of being in a relationship weigh on you constantly. The expectations the world places on you are only matched by the ones you place on yourself. You don't have to get to your breaking point. You deserve better, and there is a path forward with someone who can listen and support you.

I have special interest in depression , bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and can assess ADHD in adults.
To me, psychotherapy isn't about being SICK; it's about being BETTER. It's about getting out of your own way. It's about not taking responsibility for things you can't control, and about owning your own thoughts and feelings. It's about being able to tell the difference between logical thoughts and irrational feelings. Therapy offers no guarantees, but offers an opportunity to understand and be understood.

Learn to sleep better from the comfort of home anywhere in California! Quality sleep is the bedrock of optimal health. It makes you happier, less depressed & anxious and better equipped to cope with stress. Sleep enhances memory and creativity, makes you look more attractive, keeps you slim and lowers food cravings. It also protects against cancers and dementia, wards off colds & flu and lowers risk of heart attacks, strokes and diabetes. I'm devoted to helping people get back to restorative sleep. I've worked for decades in accredited sleep disorders centers and now offer treatment via a secure tele-video conferencing platform.

If you are struggling with addictions, PTSD, depression , anxiety and relationship issues, you have come to the right place. Emotions are a natural part of life, but sometimes we struggle feeling stuck with painful emotions causing life and our circumstances to feel unmanageable. It can feel as though we are giving our best but have yet to see the desired outcome, and our emotions can get the best of us. My ultimate goal is to treat and heal the underlying root causes, thus providing an opportunity to break free from the chains of the harmful or negative past behaviors and thought processes.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
