During my 15 years of praxis I have helped people with anxiety, PTSD, OCD, depression, codependency, sexual, emotional and physical abuse, eating disorder and addictions. Childhood trauma can cripple us, it creates overpowering ‘intense’ emotions such as anxiety, depression, and anger when left unattended which begins to create physical symptoms to defend our bodies from the internal wounds. Are you experiencing these feelings based on current or past trauma from childhood, early teens, adolescence, adulthood, or as a senior? I aim to utilize a variety of actionable techniques to help reduce trauma related symptoms and make lasting changes in life.

My approach combines traditional psychodynamics with newer neuroscience-based techniques, which incorporate the mind-body connection. As an avid researcher, I pull from 30 years of practice and study in various additional psychotherapeutic and health disciplines-incorporating nutrition and movement-based strategies, yoga, meditation, biofeedback, energy psychology and expressive arts. I work with all ages, having had the privilege of treating clients from the age of 4 to 95.

At the Center for Men’s Excellence, Dr. Jones provides therapy to adults, couples, and teens aged 13 and up. He also offers group therapy with men. Common areas of concern for Dr. Jones’ patients include stress and anxiety, relationship difficulties, work-life balance, reproductive/perinatal mental health, teen development, and depression. His background as a musician along with his extensive travel and dedication to cultural and spiritual exploration all inform his perspective as well as his intuitive attunement with his clients.
