I offer Brainspotting if you're feeling "stuck" or want to work through trauma.
Do you struggle with feeling that you're "too much" and "not enough" all at the same time. To the outside world, you look "fine," but inside, you feel downright exhausted, and pretending everything is okay is getting old. Your stress level is through the roof. You bury your feelings and prioritize putting others first, meaning you hardly ever find time for yourself. What's self-care?! Eventually, the stress and exhaustion catch up! You're tired of pretending and ready for change. The good news is, there is help. Whatever curveball life has thrown you, relief is possible.

I have been working in the mental health field for over fifteen years with a variety of clients including children and adolescents, families, and adults. I enjoy utilizing an eclectic approach to treatment, recognizing the uniqueness that each individual brings to treatment. I specialize in the treatment of exposure to trauma, providing treatment to survivors of sexual violence, childhood abuse, domestic violence, and military combat trauma. When addressing the needs of those who have survived trauma, I focus a great deal of attention on the neurological effects of exposure, as well as the mind and body connection.

I have advanced training in DBT, EMDR, & Brainspotting & have worked in various counseling settings.
Living in a world that tells us it’s not okay to be who we truly are is hard, hurtful, and exhausting. I want to help you be more of you - not less. To help you both be gentle with and challenge yourself. To trust yourself. To feel liberated to be your full, authentic, and dynamic self. If you’re tired of shrinking yourself or being shrunk by others, I want to support you as you embrace this process of expansion. My goal as a counselor is to help you accept yourself just as you are, have compassion for where you are right now, and commit to making changes that help you live a meaningful, values-driven life that works for you.

I use a person-centered approach and draw from EMDR (eye movement desensitization), brainspotting, ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), mindfulness, expressive arts, and other trauma-informed practices.
Where are you in the journey of your life? Life can come fast and furious, and quickly become heavy and overwhelming. Becoming comfortable with our individuality and also possessing a sense of belonging, are what we all desire. As a therapist, it is my goal to help and empower individuals in discovering and embracing themselves, as well as finding where they belong in life. Counseling provides a space to be creative, explore, and learn to navigate life's transitions as you walk the journey that is your life.

Brainspotting is perfect in that situation, as is working with horses in equine therapy.
I specialize in working with clients who are experiencing transitions in their life, whether it be stress, anxiety, or depression. Those that have been affected by trauma, find a safe haven here. Life's struggles do not have to overwhelm you. Teens are challenged daily by peers and stresses. My job is not to fix your problems but rather to help you discover your answers, without judgment. I offer different settings, based on your needs: traditional talk therapy, mindfulness methods or sharing amongst the horses and nature; the choice is yours. I invite you to pick up the phone and begin claiming your peace.

Something crazy or intense happened. Maybe you know what it was or maybe you don't. Maybe it's still happening. Or maybe something has always felt a bit off or harder than seems necessary. Or maybe you just feel stuck. I would be happy to walk the path with you of finding ways to resolve, rebuild, and renegotiate how you respond to situations, people, and yourself. I am trained in many body- and nervous system-based modalities, such as Somatic Experiencing, NARM, BASE, co-regulating touch, Brainspotting, NLP, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), & EMDR. I also work with couples learning how to communicate better.

I incorporate holistic tools such as Brainspotting,Breath-work, Meditation, Sound Healing&Trauma Informed Yoga.
Trauma and challenges are something we have all faced at some point in our lives. Everyone tells you to go to therapy and heal but sometimes " healing" doesn't feel all that easy. Sometimes you have no idea where to start but know you need to. Sometimes it feels like falling backwards when you’re trying to move forward. Sometimes it feels like needing support but not knowing how to ask for it. Have these thoughts crossed your mind? I know they have crossed mine. You deserve the peace of mind you are seeking. Are you ready to take that step today?

I use an eclectic approach of theories and modalities such as Brainspotting, Mindfulness, Self Compassion, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, CBT and others to find what is healing for each individual.
We talk a lot about what's on our minds, the work our brains are doing, and the moving body as separate parts. But, they are all one unit working together, for better of for worse. Trauma is a good example of these parts working together as one. Our nervous system connects the body/brain/mind and can get stuck working too hard trying to keep us safe. Brainspotting via the eyes, connects with our sub-cortical brains to release trauma held in our whole selves. It gets to the things talking can't get to and reduces unwanted trauma responses. Curious? Come give it a try.

I am also trained in Brainspotting, a brain-based therapy approach that focuses on where the brain stores trauma and involves both brain and body in a dual process of healing.
Counseling is such a bold and brave step in the process of healing. I believe that healthy development and growth are not reached by the elimination of pain and challenges, but rather in developing healthy methods of understanding, coping with, and responding to pain. This can be a challenging, but a beautiful process, and I am honored to walk with my clients through it. Most of my training is in working with women and I enjoy working alongside them as they navigate working through trauma, work/life balance, anxiety, boundary issues, guilt/shame, identity issues, life transitions, self-esteem, depression, and/or loss.

We utilize many treatment modalities from traditional DBT and CBT/talk therapy to more complex trauma treatment therapies including Somatic Experiencing, EMDR and Brainspotting; each person is different and presents with different needs making it important for us to meet people where they are in order to provide them with exactly what they need to heal.
There are many reasons and life situations that move us toward seeking out therapy but making that decision to take the first step toward healing, for most clients, can be uncertain and often anxiety provoking. It's important for the therapists at Healing Reflections to create a compassionate and collaborative space to begin building a therapeutic relationship based on feelings of safety and a sense of trust helping clients to heal wounds, discover their purpose and feel more alive. Immediate Openings for new clients!

I use brainspotting and EMDR to help you get unstuck and process what you feel you cannot get over.
If you feel that talk therapy has not helped you, keep reading... There is a point in life when we get tired of not thriving. Trauma. Overwhelming anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem are robbing you of the life that you see. You can see a better life for you in the distance but you have no idea how to get there. Striving for perfectionism, people pleasing, feeling like you are always the problem, that you are not enough. I was an educator for almost 20 years so I know the stressors that teachers experience. No one knows what teachers go through better than a teacher. I offer a 100% judgment-free zone.

I offer a somatic practice called Brainspotting.
I'm currently accepting new client appointments and have immediate availability. Do you or someone you know struggle with pushing away big emotions? Many people try to avoid painful feelings and thoughts. Avoiding and ignoring painful emotions feels good at the moment and can help you survive trauma. However, if you continue to ignore emotional pain, your body can store that pain. As a result, you may feel numb or easily overwhelmed. Avoidance can become addictive, diminish your tolerance, and can lead to you choosing harmful methods to cope with stressors.

Hi, I'm Victoria, I've been honing my specialties for 30 years. I specialize in releasing trauma and old beliefs, rewiring mental habits to result in improved confidence, self esteem, clarity to follow dreams and goals. Since training in the bilateral therapies (EMDR, A.R.T., and Brainspotting) I've witnessed healing on a whole new level. Changing beliefs, thoughts and feelings that have been lifelong takes more than talking about, in my opinion. It requires change in the deep sub conscious, a place easily entered and "edited" utilizing these therapies, works much better and faster than only talking.

Brainspotting Therapists

How does brainspotting work?

Brainspotting works by using eye positioning to identify and process traumatic memories so that a client is better able to move forward and live with less fear. The theory behind brainspotting is that by identifying where a person looks when thinking of traumatic memories, a therapist will be able to guide them to focus on that spot and work with the client to get them out of the “fight, flight, freeze” response associated with the traumatic memory.

Is brainspotting an evidence-based therapy?

Brainspotting is a theory-based alternative therapy. It is one of the newest forms of treatment, so very little research has been completed that examines the mechanism by which it works. The theory behind brainspotting is that eye position can be linked to areas of the brain that store and process memory.

How effective is brainspotting?

Because it is such a new treatment, the effectiveness of brainspotting cannot be quantified. Some people have found it to be effective on its own, or in conjunction with other types of therapy. It is considered an alternative therapy, and it is popular with people for whom more traditional therapies have proven ineffective.

How long does brainspotting take to work?

A typical brainspotting session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. There is no required number of sessions needed to complete brainspotting therapy, but in many cases it is delivered over the course of about six sessions. Clients are encouraged to rate their level of distress prior to a session and again following a session, and to track progress.
