Helping children and teens with issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, family issues, relationship issues, ADHD, learning struggles, low self esteem, parent/child, teen conflict, and sexual identity are all areas I enjoy working with. I am one of the few qualified therapists who provide services for children age 3 and up.

I enjoy working with BIPOC folks in life transitions, such as starting college, entering the workforce, becoming a parent, etc. I have a particular passion for supporting birthing people of color during the perinatal period, recognizing the unique cultural, social and systemic factors that impact their mental health. I (maybe like you?) have moved through a life that has not always been kind, easy, or safe. I was fortunate to find counselors who helped me reprocess and heal, and form a healthier, more secure sense of self. Through this personal work I became inspired to become a counselor and support others in similar ways.

The hardest part about therapy is having to deal with those thoughts, feelings, and memories we've been pushing aside for so long. I am an associate of the American Board of Medical Psychotherapists and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Professional Counselor. My graduate degree is in Counseling from the University of Wisconsin with undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Philosophy. My approach is eclectic focusing on cognitive behavioral, existential and problem solving therapy. I has been trained in transactional analysis and enjoy working with the Christian and spiritual perspective. I have a Lay Ministry certificate in Lutheran studies. I have studied eastern religion, philosophy, Yoga, Judeo-Christian ministry, and the paranormal.
