I specialize in working with teen girls and women and focus on the whole person as we strive to renew the mind, restore the body and revive the spirit. My approach is practical, goal driven, and trauma sensitive. When faith is an important live value it can enhance and promote growth and healing and is a welcome part of therapy.
I draw heavily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Together, these help address the legacy of trauma, cultivate a mindful presence, and develop skills and tools to meet life in the present.
I have been a leader of women's groups in church for 30 years, working with children and families in schools for 17 years, and women and girls clinically for more than 10 years.
