I have experience with clients ranging from adolescence to the elderly, families and couples. My specialization is working with serious mental illness and substance abuse. I rely on compassion, empathy, and non judgment to respectfully approach complex situations. I understand that life has ebbs and flows. It can be difficult to traverse, especially when one feels alone, overwhelmed, hopeless, helpless, misunderstood, powerless, ashamed, unheard, victimized, confused, invisible, etc.

There are times in our lives when we may feel overwhelmed, powerless, or hopeless. I have been practicing therapy with adults, children, and families since 2011. I specialized in healing trauma especially with people who are neurodivergent (autistic, ADHD, Dyslexic, TBI, and learning disabilities). I am gentle, kind, and nonjudgmental. I also specialize and have advanced knowledge, training, and resources in the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum (Asperger Syndrome) and ADHD. I enjoy supporting both the individuals who are neurodivergent and their caregivers to build a stronger self-compassion, support systems, and knowledge base.

I have been in the counseling field for 25 years. I have extensive experience assisting clients who are experiencing emotional pain, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles and other personal challenges. My goal is to provide a safe, respectful environment where clients can examine their challenges and rediscover their strengths. I recognize that the first step to seek a therapist takes courage. My therapeutic style is direct but supportive. I recognize that every client's experience is unique. My therapeutic approach is tailored to address their specific concerns, navigate “next steps” and move toward long term solutions.
