I am somewhat unique in my approach offering a combination of coaching, motivating, problem-solving, and goal formation. I tend to see myself as a guide (or passenger) while the client takes the driver's seat – together, we look at the map and find the most productive route to take towards the destination. I tend to have a lot of energy and am extremely active in and out of the therapy session.
I let my clients know that we're a team and whatever the challenges may be we'll tackle it together and hopefully learn something in the process. My client population includes adolescent girls and young women with a variety of issues; as well as couples and families.
I specialize in eating disorder, body image, self-esteem, relationships, depression, anxiety, behavioral problems, family conflict, and general adolescent issues. In addition, I am fortunate to also be in practice with a gifted psychiatrist, Dr. Lisa Slimmer, who offers medication management with collaborative psychotherapy.
