In working with families and individuals, I use both traditional psychotherapies such as positive psychology, psychodynamic techniques, and cognitive and behavioral therapies. In addition, I am trained in mind/body techniques such as EMDR and hypnosis. I also believe in the healing connections we make with nature and will often use pet therapy in assisting my clients to reach their goals.

I am a good listener and always give my clients' goals priority. I have a gentle touch and have been known to share a laugh with my clients on occasion. I have provided therapeutic support to children, teens, families, couples and individual adults in practice since 1987. My office is in Columbia, Maryland in a building that is handicapped accessible, is near a bus stop, and is a short walk to Columbia Mall. I have hours during the day, in the evening, and Saturdays.

Over twenty five years of private practice has helped me understand that my success in providing exceptional counseling for my clients, lies in the ability to customize my therapy techniques, depending on your needs. I continue to derive immense satisfaction from becoming a psychologist and exploring many paths and points of view about the nature of "reality", personally in my own work on myself and with others in psychotherapy (from physical/behavioral/external levels to non-physical/subjective/internal levels). These results have led to resolving external behavioral issues and increasing their level of internal satisfaction about their life experiences.
