One of the most difficult conversations people can have is talking about themselves, but that is why therapy is so important: to give people the opportunity to practice how to talk and care for themselves. I would like to work with someone who wants to learn more about themselves, brainstorm on how to carry themselves, and find more ways to love themselves. Therapy is a wonderful place to rediscover what makes us who we are. Therapy is also a great place to take stalk on what we have in our life both the good and the needs improvement.

Together, we can explore a range of approaches: whatever works. But – so you know where I’m coming from – in the end, it’s always about relationships. I’d like to meet you.

Testimonials: "The Anger Management class was one of the most educational experience I've had in such a short time.
As a result of many years working as a psychotherapist with both adult male and female clients, I discovered that behind most of my clients’ problems was intense anger and rage. I saw the devastating effects it had on their functioning in all areas of life as well as the overwhelming stress it put on them. Anger is closely associated with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, fear, sexual and many other behavioral and physical health problems. My experience and education is now directed towards helping both females and males 20 to 80 years old to regulate and manage their emotions & feelings well, esp. since post covid restrictions.

It is not easy to start therapy treatment. An ideal client is a person that, even through all the fears, doubts and questions, takes the first step to start treatment and gives a chance to explore a new technique to find better balance in their life. There could be setbacks in the process but the most important thing is to stay constant. The client is willing to work in their goals and implement skills learned in every session. Also, to ask questions needed, even if they feel afraid, in order to be able to communicate with their therapist in a honest way.

My ideal client suffers from anxiety and depression. These struggles create the inability to function as expected daily. This client needs mood stabilization and the ability to function easier by completing daily routines and tasks with fewer challenges. The client also wants mood stabilization to avoid suicidal ideation, plan, or intent. As we work together on improving mental health, the client's mood will stabilize with less interactive anxiety and depressive feelings of suicidal ideation within the next three months.

Accepting new clients. Are you feeling anxious or down? Are you unsure about the future of a relationship, or wondering why you find yourself repeating the same patterns and behaviors? Therapy is a collaborative process of self-discovery and personal growth. It takes a lot to reach out to a complete stranger and ask for help and you should feel proud you are considering taking this first step. I like to see my clients laugh, know what makes them happy and see them learn more about themselves through the process of therapy.

How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.
How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.
Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.
What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
