Healing begins in the relationship—that is the foundation of my practice. Building rapport, connection, and creating a safe space are fundamental to processing the difficult things that impact our lives; they are essential to moving toward healing.
I specialize in trauma, utilizing various modalities to support you through this process. Distressing experiences can get “stuck” in our minds and bodies and often activate emotional strain, strong physiological responses, and negative beliefs about ourselves (i.e., there is something wrong with me, I am not good enough, etc.) after the event has occurred.
I have advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which I blend with Internal Family Systems (IFS). EMDR differs from traditional talk therapy; it is more of a mind–body approach that helps decrease distressing emotions and physical experiences associated with trauma, as well as negative core beliefs about ourselves.
