Hello! My name is Lucia, and I am a licensed mental health counselor. May I invite you to take a moment? How are you feeling today? Maybe your child is the one struggling, a constant worrier perhaps or you just can’t figure them out? That’s where I come in, as I am experienced in working with both children and adults and specialize in anxiety disorders as well as emotion regulation issues.

My unwavering passion lies in the pursuit of healing for individuals who have undergone traumatic or life-altering experiences. I am deeply committed to guiding my clients, spanning across all age groups including children, adults, and families, towards cultivating positive self-perceptions and fortifying their interpersonal connections, thereby fostering a sense of tranquility, wholeness, and security within themselves. Recognizing the unique needs of each individual, I acknowledge that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. As such, I have undergone comprehensive training in various therapeutic modalities.

It is my goal to provide you with a safe, therapeutic space to unload and explore your needs, worries, and fears whatever they may be. The path to healing is unique for each of us. I primarily focus on communities of color, the LGBTQIA+ community, identity issues, depression, grief and the effects of pervasive trauma. I help my clients reach optimal mental health, build a repertoire of coping strategies to navigate their day to day, and process any traumas that hinder them from connecting with their most truest selves.

Most folks I collaborate with are navigating the aftermath of trauma or adverse experiences, seeking pathways to healing. They confront challenges such as C-PTSD, eating concerns/body image issues, and codependency, with the aim of identifying triggers and managing unwanted behaviors more effectively. Their journey is towards processing past traumas, fostering resilience, and reclaiming their lives. They aspire to convert their pain into strength, nurturing healthier relationships with both themselves and the surrounding world.

It is my goal to provide a safe and collaborative space where you can fully express your thoughts, feelings, doubts, and desires. I deeply respect all people and their unique identities and experiences. I listen carefully to make sure I fully understand and then work in partnership and support to develop goals and plans. It is my hope that everyone I meet with feels accepted and comfortable throughout our journey together.

I have a 100% online practice, and I especially enjoy working with clients who are in transition—into high school, college, or young adulthood—and are motivated to learn techniques to grow and evolve. I especially love helping teens and young adults w/ High Functioning Autism, ADHD, LD, or Social Anxiety navigate college, work, or life. Making improvements in one's life takes time and energy both inside the virtual therapy room and in daily life, and I believe that learning concrete skills to implement outside of therapy is necessary to make progress. Anna Marchenko is a licensed mental health counselor with specialized training in trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), addiction, family counseling, and hypnotherapy. She earned her double Master's degree from Columbia University, New York. She continued her post-graduate education at International Institute of Interpersonal Hypnotherapy and worked at Mount Sinai Hospital and CSEDNY of NY before going into full-time private practice. She provides psychotherapy in a variety of areas, including stress, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, adjustment, performance psychology, creative and work blocks, sexuality, and interpersonal issues.

My experience of well over 30 years of clinical practice has encompassed a wide range of issues and clients, including Narcissistic Personality; goal-oriented marital therapy; multi-modal treatment of OCD and other anxiety-related disorders; substance abuse and behavior addictions, including sex, gambling, spending, and internet addictions; Adult and adolescent ADD; divorce mediation and co-parenting; and trauma, and trauma-related phobias. With 25 years of intensive training and experience as an EMDR clinician and consultant, I use EMDR extensively, and use it to achieve timely and effective achievement of clients' goals.
