I believe that mental health is not a destination but a process in learning how to find comfort within the uncomfortable, to be at peace with what is, and to fall in to appreciation for the journey. I received my Master’s in Social Work from Stony Brook University then went on to get my license to become a Licensed Master Social Worker. I have clinical experience working in various settings. My expertise areas include working with individuals struggling with difficulties related to anxiety, depression, trauma, identity and self-esteem, LGBTQIA+, relationship or family conflict, anger management and career or life-transitions.
My goal as a therapist is to individually treat each client through a whole-person approach providing a nonjudgmental environment for self-exploration. I understand fully that when a person decides they are ready to seek counseling, they may be eager to see improvement.
