After being a teacher in public schools for 14 years and a director of a faith-based non-profit that helped troubled teens and parents, for 2 years, I decided to go back to school to become a licensed therapist. I earned my Sociology Bachelor’s of Arts from New York University and my Master’s of Science in Social Work from Columbia University.
