Life is not always easy. Anxiety, depression, addiction, conflict, major life changes such as the death of a loved one, entering college, or divorce, and every day stressors can result in loneliness, anger, compulsiveness, and a feeling of hopelessness. However, therapeutic interventions provided in an atmosphere of acceptance and respect allows individuals to develop new ways to overcome and/or cope with life’s challenges. I am eager to listen, help you gain insight by understanding what is happening in your brain, and share tools that can help you transition to a life that aligns with your personal values and goals.
Each client is unique so I use a variety of approaches including challenging unhelpful thoughts with CBT, looking at 'parts' of oneself using IFS, considering coping styles formed in childhood using Schema Therapy, and acceptance and commitment.
Flexibility allows for a safe therapeutic environment with the best combination of techniques that work for you.
